Information you provide through applications

When you apply to a MyPath2Tech program, your application is submitted through Typeform, a third-party form platform. The information you provide, such as your name, email address, background, and responses to application questions, is collected and stored by Typeform on our behalf. Information you provide by contacting us

If you reach out to us directly via email or social media, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name and email address, solely to respond to your inquiry.

Anonymous usage data

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how our website is used. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not track individual visitors. It collects only aggregated, anonymous metrics such as page views and general traffic patterns. No personal information, IP addresses, or device fingerprints are stored.

We do not use cookies

MyPath2Tech does not set any cookies on your device. Our analytics tool (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless by design. Third-party platforms we link to, such as Typeform or Luma, may set their own cookies when you visit their pages. We have no control over those cookies and encourage you to review the respective privacy policies of those platforms.

Program administration

We use application data to review and process your application, communicate decisions, send program schedules and materials, and facilitate mentorship and cohort matching.

Communications

With your consent, we may send you program announcements, event invitations, and updates related to MyPath2Tech. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying to any email or contacting us directly.

Improving our programs

We use anonymized, aggregated data to understand how our website and programs are performing and to improve them over time. This data cannot be linked back to any individual.

Legal compliance

We may use your information where required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or enforceable government requests.

We do not sell your data

MyPath2Tech does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

Mentors and program partners

With your knowledge, we may share relevant information with mentors or industry partners involved in delivering the program you are enrolled in. This is limited to what is necessary for program delivery.

Third-party platforms we use

We use the following third-party platforms that may process data on our behalf: Typeform (application forms), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Supabase (event and program data storage), and Luma (event management). Each platform operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process, or to protect the rights or safety of MyPath2Tech, our participants, or the public.

How long we keep your data

Application data submitted through Typeform is subject to Typeform's retention policies. Data we hold directly (such as event records and program information) is retained for as long as necessary for program operations, and typically no longer than two years after a cohort concludes. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

How we protect your information

We rely on industry-standard platforms (Vercel, Supabase, Typeform) that implement strong security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. We limit internal access to personal information to only those who need it to operate our programs. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access and correction

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if any information is inaccurate or incomplete.

Deletion

You may request that we delete your personal information. We will honor such requests unless we are required to retain the data for legal or legitimate operational reasons. Note that for data held by Typeform, you may need to contact Typeform directly.

Withdrawal of consent

Where we rely on your consent to process your information, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@mypath2tech.ca. We will respond within 30 days.

Our website contains links to third-party websites and platforms (such as Luma for events and Typeform for applications). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.

Our programs are intended for individuals 16 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently done so, we will take prompt steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or programs after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
